Testimony of
John “JR” Rivers

My name is John “JR” Rivers, and I have had the profound privilege of serving God since the age of two. While many may find this hard to believe, my journey of faith began early in my life, shaped by the loving influence of my family and the community around me.

I grew up in a household where faith was not just a Sunday practice but a way of life. My parents instilled in me the values of love, compassion, and service. Even as a toddler, I remember standing beside my parents during church services, absorbing the warmth and guidance of the sermons, the singing of hymns, and the camaraderie of our church community.

At a very young age, I felt an innate desire to help others, whether it was sharing my toys with friends or comforting a neighbor in need. It was through these small acts of kindness that I began to understand what it meant to serve God. My family often volunteered at local charities, and I happily accompanied them, witnessing the positive impact we could have on others' lives.

As I grew older, my understanding of faith deepened. I began to lead youth groups and participate in mission trips, where I learned the significance of spreading love beyond our community. These experiences ignited a passion within me to be a vessel of God’s grace, sharing the message of hope and salvation where it was needed most.

Throughout my life, there have been challenges and moments of doubt, as is true for anyone on a faith journey. But each time I faced hardship, I found comfort in prayer and the support of my church family. These moments strengthened my faith and reinforced my commitment to serve God, no matter the circumstances.

Now, as I reflect on my life, I see a tapestry woven with threads of service, love, and an unwavering belief in God’s purpose. I am continually blessed to witness the beauty of God’s work in my life and the lives of others. My mission is clear: to be a light in this world, to help those in need, and to share the message of God's unwavering love.

I am grateful for every moment of my journey, and I am excited to continue serving God and others for as long as I have breath. Thank you for allowing me to share my testimony.
